The following pictures were taken today (5/2/2011) from our Lanai. For those of you coming to stay with us, no worries, this isn't a common phenomenon.

Backtracking...the Bachelorette Party! GO CARDS!

Talk about a fun group of girls (and a few boys)! I can't think of a more perfect bachelorette party than getting to go home and attending a St. Louis Cardinals game. Thrown by my beautiful sister, Jessica, this was definitely a night to remember. This party was the perfect combination of baseball and pre-wedding fun. This group had it ALL; complete with custom t-shirts, rhinestone tiara and veil, baseball chew (the bubble gum kind), floozy coozies (courtesy of Becky Mueller and Jennie Annie's, Farmington, MO), crackerjacks, STL Cards jewelry, ballpark peanuts, and two gentlemen chaperones (thanks Dad and Glen). We had a blast! There were lots of compliments at Busch Stadium, and some guys even picked up our check at the bar afterward. There were a few girls that were sorely missed that night though. Having a wedding with so many friends spread across the nation makes it hard to get everyone together for everything. We were very lucky that everyone made it for the wedding. The other bridesmaids were there in spirit.

The Greatest Day

For those of you who couldn't join us, Sunday, the fifth of September was the most perfect day. Surrounded by so many cherished friends and beloved family, Richard and I took a vow and started our new life together. It was everything we ever wanted. The flowers, weather, dresses, music, food, decor, and smiling faces were all in perfect order.

We could not have done it without the help of so many family and friends. Thank you all. So many made the long trip to Missouri to be with us on our special day, and we are forever grateful.

As we continue planning our big family wedding we are grateful for the love and support of our parents and families.

Sailing in Pearl Harbor

This weekend we went for our first big sailing experience un-accompanied. The wind was very gusty which makes it a little harder to navigate. It was very fun none the less. In the bottom picture, below the boom, you can see where the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri are located.
